Transportation Cancun airport to Isla Mujeres
My husband and I will be arriving at Cancun airport about 4:00 p.m. What is the best way to get to the Isla ferry slip and how often do the ferries run? We will have checked luggage so I anticipate we might not be leaving the airport for an hour or so after the flight.

Cheapest option is to take the Riviera bus to downtown Cancun for a few dollars then take a cab to the ferry dock, again for a few dollars.
For only a few dollars more, there are van services, BestDay is the one I've used, $US9.00 per person one way. Last January it was just my friend and I, so ended up being a private transfer. That doesn't always happen, and sometimes you end up sharing the van and going through the hotel zone.
You can also arrange a private transfer, I think it's about $80.00 round trip.

The ferries run every half hour until 11 p.m. The customs and immigration folks at Cancun are pretty efficient--you'll be out of the airport in a half hour. You can get a taxi from the airport to Puerto Juarez for $56 that will have you there in 20 minutes. Cab fare from the port back to the airport is only $25.
