transportation/bus links for Mexico

Hi all: notice many posts that are asking about bus transportation in Mexico. Here is a web site that I found on this site several months ago. I used it extensively to plan my bus trip from Guadalajara to Guanajuato. Hope it helps.

The best site I have found is www.ticketbus.com.mx. The site is in spanish but not difficult to navigate. It lists most major bus companies, schedules and fares.
Much more comprehensive than the individual sites such as those operated by UNO and ADO.

Robert: I wasn't able to find the cities I need on the ticketbus site. For example if you are going from Cuernavaca to Acapulco, those particular cities aren't listed nor could I find Guadalajara, y guanajuato. ??

Nonstop- you are right, it does link to UNO which links to ticketbus so it has it all covered. I use buses frequently in MX- so this is really handy for me. Thanks-

I agree with Dude. Also, Ticketbus is weak in many areas of northern Mexico but lists all services in many other areas.

Interesting site, that ticketbus. Unfortunately, the holes in its coverage are big enough to, well, drive a bus through.

No listing for Guadalajara? None for Monterrey either?

Sheesh!!! The 2nd and 3rd largest cities in the country and they don't even warrant a listing in the departures and arrivals columns.

Why do I think I'll not be trusting these folks anytime too soon???

I have used Ticketbus often and find it to be a very trustworthy site. The fact that it doesn't cover Monterrey and Guadalajara has nothing to do with city size but only that the site covers nothing in the northern part of the country.
Where it does have coverage, the site is very accurate.

Missing the northern part of the country is a pretty darn serious shortcoming.

Besides, Guadalajara isn't in the north.

There's also a heck of a lot of companies missing.

I stand by my general assessment that the site has holes in it big enough to drive a bus through...

Buen viaje!

Here's one more very good link that gives lots of info about the bus system
http://www.mexconnect.com/mex_/trave...son/rfbus.html

I found this address on the board some time ago. It also takes you on to other transportation links.
