Transportation between the 2 countries in Iguasu falls??

We probably will stay in the brazilian side in Iguasu (Mabu Thermas & Resort) and would like to see the falls on our own pace, without a guide.
How can we move between the 2 sides (argentina & Brazil)? Is there Taxi service or shuttle? What is the cost of those trans.?
Thanks

I was there on October, 2002 and stayed at the Tropical das Cataratas on the Brasilian side. I hired a taxi driver for a day to take me to the Argentine side. He dropped me off the park entrance in the morning (after stopping at Tres Fronteras) and was waiting for me when I came back in the late afternoon. I think I give him $33USD for the day - we negotiated a deal at the beginning of the day. I have heard some people pay more, some less so as they say - Your Mileage May Vary....

Thank you for your response.
Is there other options?

I cannot answer your question but I would recommend the helicopter tour to the falls. Absolutely scared me to death but will always remember it as one of my most fascinating adventures.

I think the only way to do it reasonably is by taxi like wheredafungawe did. Once the taxi takes you to the entrrance take the train that runs inside the Argentine Park, it will take you to the begining of the two trails the upper and the lower trail clearly marked and also to the Garganta del Diablo which is beautifil , there is a huge plataform-bridge that takes you a long way till you are literaly on top of the Garganta del Diablo.
For lunch you can eat either in the Sheraton, good view and a good buffet, or in the park where there is a restaurant that is very inexpensive and has grilled meats plus a buffet for salads and deserts.
I tried both, but there is I believe a third option, a restaurant closer to the Sheraton. Good luck.
