My friend is arriving in San Jose at aprox 12:30 pm and would like to head right up to Arenal to meet us. He can get a private transfer for 120.00 but would like to (of course) spend less if possible. Can he take the interbus from the airport? any other ideas. Thanks

There is an interbus that leaves SJ at 2:30pm. I believe they pick up at a hotel that is a short cab ride from the airport. Best thing to do is for the friend to contact Interbus...they can give him all the info. I contacted them from their site and they were prompt and very nice.

Thanks, I will look into that. I guess it really wouldn't be that long of a wait by the time he goes through customs and then takes the cab to the hotel.
