Transport into Merida City from Merida Airport?

Hi, we are flying into Merida Airport about 2pm on the 24 December: suggestions please on how to get into Merida Calle 58 (not that near the zocalo) from there - are there buses or colectivos or reasonably priced taxis into town? I can't seem to find much up-to-date info on the search function here.

Thanks in advance for all help.

Taxis in Merida are very reasonable. If memory serves, a taxi from Merida airport into the ciy center is about 200 pesos, or approximately 10 USD. You pay at a booth outside and give your reciept to the driver. Very easy.

The regular taxis now charge around 250 MXP. You can use Uber for less.

If you are planning to have a data plan for your phone while in Mexico, then using Uber makes sense. But if you aren't planning to have a data plan, then I'd just take a taxi.

If you have ATT phone service in the US you can call them and get FREE phone/text/1G per month of data in Mexico. Just have them add the Free Mexico plan to your service.
