Tikal to Belize - How to get there?
 

I am visiting Guatemala in January. Will fly from Guatemala City to Tikal (Flores). Is there any way to fly directly from Tikal to Belize, or do I have to return first to Guatemala City to fly to Belize.

Maya Island Air and Tropic Air (both Belize airlines) have daily flights from Flores to Belize City. From memory, I think they have a total of four flights, and the flights cost about US$85. Both have good Web sites where you can check schedules and fares and make reservations on-line.

Flores to Belize Intl: 9:50am and 3:50pm. The 50 minute flight is us$88.00 each way.

Take a comfortable 4 hour bus ride from Flores to Belize city for about $15. Why go through all the troubles of flying which is more expensive and all counted, actually takes more time?

Can someone list the names of good bus companies to use for belize city to flores/tikal?
