Things to do in Santiago.
Hi I´m going to Santiago in December for 3 days to catch up a cruise in Valparaiso. I was thinking in what to do in Santiago, we are 2 adults and 2 kids and we are staying in the Santiago Marriott in las Condes. Thanks for advice.

Both you and your children might enjoy a visit to San Cristobal Hill. You didn't give their ages, but I think this area would be interesting for all. Take a stroll through Bellavista after and do some shopping.
The Central Market with the seafood restaurants is interesting too. Also a day trip to Valparaiso or Vina del Mar. Google for more information on San Cristobal, I'm afraid of giving you incorrect information. |
Oh thanks, my son is 12 and my daughter is 8. I will Google and find out more. I was seing in Tripadvisor that the top one is La Chascona pablo nerudas home, do you think is for kids?

I loved La Chascona and think your children might enjoy it. It's probably like no house they've ever seen before. They'd likely enjoy climbing the steps to the higher buildings on the side of San Cristobal. There are many whimsical features that they'd appreciate. Neruda was a major figure in Chile so perhaps you could tell them something about him before you go to the house. There is a cafe where you could get a cold drink before the tour, which takes about 30 minutes -- not enough time for them to get bored. You do have to reserve before going. You can take pictures outside but not inside. There is a small gift shop and I bought a packet of post cards that have good photos of the best features of the house.
