If I remember correctly, Todd Enz was the person to write to so you could tell the Osa Pointe people what you thought of the development (most wrote that they didn't think much of it). I will ask about him on the Osa Conservation site although I didn't see his name on the board of directors list. Tom Lovejoy is a family friend and I doubt if he would go for anything underhanded.

Here is what osaconservation had to say as of April according to the web site you linked us to. They definitely did NOT consider Todd Enz a friend of the Osa. Could it be that you misunderstood? It was so thoughtful of you to want to help at that level. I know FOO can really use that kind of support.

If you go back and read the letter that Kim sent me from FOO, which is the email referred to, you will see that they were trying to fight Osa Pointe and that FOO wanted us to send our concerns, not money, to Todd Enz.

Beware - could you clarify some more? I do not understand your postings. F.O.O., an excellent orginzation, is fighting *against* Osa Pointe, and Todd Enz runs that website. So I do not understand how you lost money etc and are seemingly slamming FOO. Please explain.

I am not slamming FOO. I am saying that Todd Enz is not promoting the causes of FOO but is promoting:

As for my 60K loss, it was in another one of Todd Enz's investment schemes. Paradise Osa Point is just his latest.

I guess I am just lost on this one. None of us (I assume) would give a dime to Todd Enz particularly after finding out last March that he is involved in building Osa Pointe. Are you saying that he is also asking for money for conservation on the Osa or was it another of his ventures? By my way of thinking, anyone who would be involved in the destruction of such a beautiful area like the Osa wouldn't really care about places anywhere in the world. Where did he ask for it? I can't seem to find anything on the Paradise Osa Point that you are talking about. I am trying to do my homework, I thought I had last March when we all wrote letters to Todd Enz opposing the Osa Pointe project. I guess the dog ate it.

By the way, I contacted conservationosa.org to ask about Todd Enz' affiliation with them. They wrote back asking who I was and why I wanted to know. I wrote back saying I was and interested person. I have not heard back. I also intend to find out why the USAID logo is on his "sponsored" website.

Someone is missing something and if you read this complete thread, we've all done our homework. No idea what you are talking about.

On FOO's website, you will see they ask for objection letters (against OsaPointe) to be written to the Minister of Environment and also to Todd Enz, who owns the OsaPointe website. Simply stated: FOO and Todd Enz are on completely different sides of the fence and have absolutely nothing to do with each other. I think you possibly have just misunderstood.

Just re-read the links you've posted (which I've seen plenty of times before). Maybe you read them too fast or skipped over something. The 1st link you provided is basically the same info that is in this thread. To break it down - FOO is asking for letters to be written opposing the development of OsaPointe. One of those people they ask objection letters be written to is Todd Enz, who owns the website. FOO is fighting against OsaPointe & Todd Enz - how can I make this any clearer?

I think we need to give up Tully. Both of the web sites he gave us are asking us to act against the project. I am sure he really wanted to help the situation but didn't read things through well enough.

I got onto the Florida State division of Corporations and looked up by name, Todd Enz, and looked up the Paradise Osa Point name, neither came up.

It is pretty obvious why osaconservation did not respond to the inquiry. If they had said anything bad they could have had a law suit filed against them. Kim was a lawyer.

FOO is fighting *against* Todd Enz's project - what part of that do you not understand? Other than trying to stop his development they do not have any other connection with him. Why you are trying to connect the two as in league with one another is beyond me.

Don't mean to be snippy but since you obviously are not comprehending the facts I will no longer respond to your attempted slander.

Mr. Tully: I did misunderstand the website. I appeared to me that Todd Enz was using it to promote development of OSA, not that it was an avenue to contact Mr. Enz to express opposition to it. My apologies.

I am not being slanderous, but want the effort to develope OSA Point stopped and the truth to be known. I think we can agree on that.

Thank you for your concern for the Osa as well. So many of us have grown to truly love it over the years and would hate to see it spoiled by development. Particularly that type of development.
