Terios too small
 

Is the Terios too small for 2 adults a teen and a child. I rented one when I was by myself, but I cant remember how big the storage area is. Is the grand vitara any bigger and worth the big dollar upgrade?

I'd travelled to CR a couple years ago and we rented a Terios. I thought it worked fine for the two of us. But for 4? Too small. I'd say the max for a Terios would be 3 people and their luggage; and frankly that's pushing it.

Thats what I thought. I guess I was trying to save some money, but I think its worth it to pay extra for comfort.

Definitely worth a larger vehicle! Try a Pathfinder or a Forerunner. You'll be glad you did! When are you going koa?

Decided on the grand Vitara. The CD player was a big plus for me(need music for the long drives)Victor at Dollar says the vitara should be big enough for us.A pathfinder would have been nice, but the rates are starting to get real high for one of those! Rather save some money for tours. Will be travelling from Aug 1st and leaving on the 13th.

Yes I decided on an itinerary. Arrive on Aug 1st at 12 noon. Get car from dollar and drive to Tabacon Resort. Stay there for a few days then Los Lagos(Looks great for the kids) After Los lagos drive to Manuel Antonio. Staying at Costa Verde for a few days. Then my part of the trip kicks inn. Will drive to Dominical and stay at Roca Verde(SURF,SURF and more SURF) After Dominical, drive to Los Suenos. Got a great deal through Visa($120 mountain view room)Surf some more at Hermosa. Then return the rental car and stay our last night at Orquideas inn. Counting the days to vacation time!

Our tentative plans are 2 nights at Vida Tropical, 2 nights Arenal Paraiso, 4-5 nights either at Playa Hermosa (north) or Samara, then a couple in MA and a couple at Neta's place (La Finca Que Ama). We are still up in the air about parts and may try to raft our last day. We will be at Vida Tropical for our last night. They are offering to help get a car through Tricolor. We will all get to report back about the same time! Joyce
