Taxi rate from PV Airport to Nuevo Vallata
 

I will by flying into Puerto Vallarta on Dec 16 and wondered if anyone knows what I should expect to pay for a cab ride from the airport to Nuevo Vallarta (specifically we will be going to Paradise Village, however, I imagine that all of the hotels there would cost the same to get to). Thanks for your help.

Stay away from the big suburban taxis and stick with a compact taxi, agree on a price before you leave! I'm not sure on the price but not more than 2 or 3 dollars (american).

Mike, <BR>when I was in puerto vallarta in august the taxis charged us 3.00 dollars any where we wanted to go. hope you have a great trip.

Hi Mike, Afraid you'll have to get one of those big Suburbans, they are the official airport taxi. Buy your ticket in the airport, by the exit doors. Sorry, don't know the rate. If you have little luggage and are agile, you could try getting across the highway next to the airport and get a regular yellow taxi. <BR>Hasta, <BR>JR

Hi Mike...just got back from the PV area last week. I picked up a little publication that tells all of the official bus and taxi rates. I know they say not to tip the cabdrivers but we always do, especially if they're helpful and handle a lot of luggage. <BR>Here are the rates: (depending where you're from the going rate is about 6 pesos to the Canadian dollar - 10 pesos to the US dollar). <BR>- PV airport to Nuevo Vallarta: bus 10 pesos (cab 125 pesos) <BR>- Nuevo Vallarta to Puerto Vallarta: bus 10 pesos (cab 112 pesos) <BR>- Puerto Vallarta to Nuevo Vallarta: bus 10 pesos (cab 110 pesos...don't know why the 2 pesos difference from above ..hell, who cares ..it's 2 pesos!). <BR>If I can be of any other don't hesitate to ask! We stayed in Bucerias (just north of where you're staying) so if you plan to explore that area let me know. Have a GREAT time on your vacation...I know you will....who goes to PV and DOESN'T have a blast!????

The SET and LEGAL rate for a taxi from the airport to Paradise Village is 50 pesos pp (for a group of 4 or more)- for a smaller car (1 to 3 people) the cost is 125 pesos. This is through Aeromovil, one of the two companies at the airport.
