Taking liquor into the US from Mexico

How many bottles of Tequila are you allowed to bring back?

Try this, which says there is no federal limit. Unless you're bringing back so much it looks like you're a reseller. Are you driving or flying?

If you are asking about what you can carry with you as you enter the US from Mexico, have a look at https://www.cbp.gov/travel/internati...toms-duty-info or at the less government gobbledygook infp at https://www.travelchannel.com/intere...ol-into-the-US

Bottom line - technically there is no federal limit, but you pay duty on anything over the first liter. Also keep in mind that if you are traveling by air and plan to buy duty free liquor at the Mexican airport you will be allowed to carry it on board but will have to put the liquor bottles in your checked luggage before catching any connecting flight.
