Sun Palace or Cancun Palace?

Can someone compare these 2? Quality of food, service, when built, type of crowd (March/April - can we avoid overcrowding from spring breakers?). We like <BR>beautiful beach, pool, jacuzzis, watersports, outdoor dining and some lively entertainment. Too much to ask for??

I agree - you are crazy to go to Cancun during that time. But, if it's the only time you can get away, you can still enjoy Mexico and avoid the crowds. Just stay in Playa del Carmen and make a day trip to Cancun. Plenty of nice hotels, more peaceful, etc.

We were at the Sun Palace a few years ago during spring break season (we were on a family vacation). It is a very nice resort, more adult/couple oriented then family oriented. There were no spring breakers there. We did visit the other Palace resorts. The Cancun Palace was loaded with spring breakers and much more rowdier. The Sun Palace is a bit more upscale than the Cancun Palace. You have the option of using the facilities of any of the palace resorts so you can check out the other places for meals and shows. The spring break crowd can be very lively but tend to gravitate towards particular hotels, clubs and restaurants. If you stay away from such places, being there during spring break is not a problem. The follwoing year we stayed at what is now the Gala in PDC and there was absolutely no hint of spring breakers anywhere.

Thanks everybody for the input - as you can see, it's conflicting! Already been to Spa/Aventura Palace and heard Sun Palace doesn't get much of a spring break crowd. Anybody else out there have a comment?

Is overcrowding mainly a problem for spring break, or can the summer months be just as bad? Considering this area in the summer and do not like the crowds. Any comments?
