Suggested Itinerary for family of Six (15 yo-8yo)
Hello, all. I was looking for something different for spring break trip with family. Budget is $6-7k ish. I know it's not much to go on, but looking for something unique, fun, and memorable for kids. Thanks.

The more thoughts or information you give the more useful ideas you’ll receive. Dates & no. of days not including travel? That budget must include what? What country? What sort of activities do your children enjoy? What sort of activities & accommodations do you like? City, town, rural, beach, archeological sites? Clues please.

You are quite right. The post was lacking a lot of information. Early April is the likely travel period. We typically go on beach-type vacations, but an archeological-leaning trip would be outstanding. If there was a beach nearby that would be a bonus, but not required. We'd like to avoid cities, but a town with local goods for purchase would be in the girls' wheelhouse. Before the kids came my wife and I toured Belize and Guatemala, but I'm not sure the younger girls (8 and 9) can go too far off the beaten path. One of the things I've noticed on some of the budget travel websites -where flight and hotel are included- is a lengthy layover either going or returning - or both. I wonder if anyone has incorporated this into his/her itinerary to explore an additional country/city? Thanks again.

We've been to Costa Rica several times and always enjoy it. The combination of Manuel Antonio and the Arenal area is popular for first timers. You would fly into SJO. MA has a national park, monkeys, sloths, beaches. The Arenal area has a lot of adventure activities, a volcano, hanging bridges, a nice waterall. Not much in the way of archaeological sites in CR.
