storms

Im trying to figure out where to go next summer (July). Ive heard the El Nino storm is comming near that time. Does anyone know if Belize would be affected? How is it at that time of year?

Thanks

El Niño is not a storm but a disturbance in the ocean atmosphere system in the Pacific, with a symptom being changes in the ocean water temperature.

Should the El Niño phenomenon reoccur next year, its likely impact on Mexico and Central America would be drier than usual conditions.

Since weather experts can barely predict the weather from one day to the next, it is unlikely they can predict the weather in Belize almost a year from now.

And I believe, El Nino was confined to the Pacific. We are bordered by the Caribbean only.

The impact of El Niño (and La Niña for that matter) does extend beyond the Pacific. For example, it is thought to impact rainfall in parts of the U.S.

Regardless of how big an area El Nino or La Nina can effect no one can accurately predict now what type of weather will show up when Shanah visits Belize next July. All anyone can give is vague generalities. Sorry to sound blunt but it's just a waste of time to worry about what the weather will or will not be next summer.
