Spanish School

Can anyone recommend a Spanish language program in Mexico? It'd be great to be in a beach town but the quality of the school is #1.

I'm sorry I do not have a specific school to recommend, but I know there are several in Puerto Vallarta, which is a good sized beach town. And a place that I'd personally love to spend more time.

personally, if you go are going to a Sanish school I would stay away from places where there are a lot of American Tourists i.e. beaches. Reason being, it is always a temptation to fall back to English and being in a beach resort area where English is widely spoken makes it that much tougher.

I highly recommend Baden-Powell run By Eugenio Cortes in Morelia a marvelous Colonial city & the Capital of Michoacan. But 30 miles from Patzcuaro & it;s Day of the dead tradition & near the Butterfly Parks it is a remarkably clean city with huge ancient buildings, a 300 year old aqueduct & friendly if reserved people . Great restaurants & sights. Go to http://www.baden-powell.com/Asp/ for information. You can either rent a terrific apartment in the heart of the Historic district or do heavy immersion by staying with a local family.

I have used them 5 times. They have 3 or 4 schools in Mexico that they represent. All high quality schools.

There are many been excellent schools in Mexico. I have been pleased with Becari in Oaxaca many times. Really, just depends where you want to be in Mexico...

I agree that a beautiful beach and other english-speakers could prove a distraction from studying! Just depends if you are trying to combine a relaxing vacation along with some learning, or the language school is #1 purpose of the trip.
