How is Oaxaca (sp?) pronounced?

Yeah, that's it, Mr Valjean is correct: wa-HA-ka, with an emphasis (accent) in the second syllable.

wah ha ca is right. I had been pronouncing it wrong for a long time, until a customs guy in Mexico city told me I had to learn how to pronounce it right. And stood their saying if for about five minutes until I could do it.
