When countries talk about not bringing in fuits and vegtables they are talking about that which is fresh. If you are carrying packaged granola bars the contents have been processed and inspected. It should be no problem unless Panama has some wierd regulation.

On my last trip I had a bunch of food bars with granola and that sort of thing. I don't think it is an issue in Panama.

Cereal bars and granolas are not restricted into the country. AS mentioned before, it is raw fruits, meats, cheese (not pausterized)(sp) and plants that are restricted.
I am sure you can find the cereals and granolas in Panama.
Cheese and crakers already packed for snacks are prefectly OK to bring into the country.
Dry fruits are ok

As long as its "factory sealed" it should be fine. Corn nuts, peanuts, trail mixes, beef jerky, pepperroni sticks, fruit rollups granola bars were not a problem when we went.
