SMA & Guanajuato Restaurants

Looking for restaurant recommendations for San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato. Particularly interested in great, traditional Mexican food with great margaritas. But any outstanding restaurant suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

There are many on the TA SMdA Forum:
Ristorante da Andrea @ Hacienda de Landeta - a bit out of town to the SE -perhaps the best.
El Campanario
El Pegaso
Tio Lucas
Ole,Ole
Ten Ten Pie
Posada Carmina
Cafe de la Parroquia
El Burrito Bistro
El Correo
Rincon de Don Tomas
Gombo's (pizza)
Romano's
L'Invito
Bella Italia
Chamonix
Nirvana
La Cartuja
La Finestra
Azafran
Hacienda Los Laureles
Mariscoslandia
Pueblo Viejo (varying 2/1 drinks at rooftop bar M-F)
I would avoid La Capilla; Harry's; Mama Mia and perhaps Bugambilia (their Chiles en Nogada and Margaritas are good).

dona,
TA = Trip Advisor SMdA and GTO forums.
Some recent posts for GTO restaurants look very good and we'll be there next week using those recs.

mikemo, Thank you! As u suggest I'll check out the Trip Advisor forums for both places. Would you be so kind as to let me know what u discover in GTO? We'll be there at the beginning of Feb. Appreciate it

Anyone have any thoughts on the restaurants listed in SMA by mikemo? Will only be there for 4 days so would love to know which are really not to be missed.

Sorry, wrong forum (and misspelled).
Breakfast at Cafe de la Parroquia.
Lunch at Ten Ten Pie (pork tacos) or Posada Carmina (chicken enchiladas - 3 ways).
Lunch or dinner at Ole, Ole (fajitas).
Dinner at Rist da Andrea (we were there last Thurs); seafood at El Campanario; chateaubriand at Tio Lucas; pork chops at Romano's; soups at el Correo and Rincon de Don Tomas;
late Comida at L'Invito (1/2 price 16:00 - 19:00 M-F).
All have merit.

No problem -- thought there was some special code on the forum! Thanks so much for your suggestions! Can't wait to try them out.
