Scooter/motorbike rental in Puerto Vallarta
Can one rent a motorbike or scooter in the Puerto Vallarta area? I am staying at the Dreams resort which is in the Mismaloya area. If anyone has rented one, please offer advise and approx. pricing. Thanks!

Hmmm... I've spent a lot of time in Puerto Vallarta and don't recall seeing motor scooter rentals.
Quite honestly with the traffic situation (trucks, busses, etc.) I'm not sure I'd want to be on a scooter between Dreams and town (highway), if that's what you're thinking. And within town there's lots of cobblestone streets, speed bumps, one way streets, loads of cars.
Have you been to PV before? I'm thinking maybe the situation is different than you're picturing.

Thanks Suze. Actually, someone traveling with my party asked me about this. I would not think of renting one there. I have been there once and I could not remember seeing any either, but I saw some reference to it on the internet. I will tell my friend it is not recommended. Thanks!

for more details you might read or post on www.allvallarta.com which has an excellent message board, many folks living in or regular visitors to PV there.
also www.puertovallarta.net and their bulletin board but it is more aimed at the resort hotels and restaurant info, so not as nitty gritty as the all vallarta crowd.
