Sangria!!! (Dr. Dawggy Help Again)

I went to Barcelona last year and loved the Sangria... do you know if they have Sangria in Buenos Aires?

Thanks.

Yes, we do and also something similar, but with white wine, called "clericó". I do not drink, so I cannot tell you much more.

Another thing to look forward to when I get to Buenos Aires in October!!!

Thanks very much.

Hi Heidi, Yes , sangria is great, specially if it is hot.
You can ask for a Sangria with the wine you choose. Being Argentinean wine so reasonable it is a good idea to have it prepared with something good. Not superb but good since as you know, they are going to add ice, lemon, etc.

Sangria is served only with redwine. The name comes from sangre ( blood) that of course gets red in contact with oxigen.
Its not usually served in Restaurants and probably the waiter wont know what it is.
Clericó or clericup is well known in almost every restaurant, served with a white fruited wine and a mix of fresh fruits , sometimes sugar and a lot of ice.
