San Blas islands(Kuna Yala) rainy season
 

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with San Blas in the rainy season. Planning trip to Panama May 26 to June 11 and was planning on 3 nights in San Blas (Yandup lodge). I usually travel Central America off season and am used to getting caught out in an afternoon storm, the rain most every night or a day or two of bad weather - no big deal.

However, I just ran across and article on the internet by a couple that spent several months sailing these islands and they said when May came so did the rain - heavy with intense lightning, no sun for two weeks and after that maybe a half day of sun.

Does anyone have any experience in these islands this time of year - is this normal?

Also anyone ever stay at Yandup?

Any input greatly appreciated.
