SAfe in Los Cabos

Is it safe to go there? I have a time share but haven't been in years because of the cartels. How safe is it?

Yes it is safe. How safe? Safe safe, as in nothing bad has happened!

There is no "cartel" activity in the tourist areas in Los Cabos. If anywhere it's up on the border of the US or on the mainland or Mexico in a few (very few) specific areas.

None of the tourist destinations to date have been effected... Cabo, Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Vallarta, all OK. Mazatlan and Acapulco a little bit iffier. Just don't go to Juarez or Monterrey but you probably weren't going to anyway.

You'll be as safe in Cabo as you are in just about any American city if you use common sense.
