Royal Sands in Cancun

Does anyone know if the Royal Sands (Time-share) in Cancun is a facility that attracts the mostly older crowd? I am staying there in June with my 18 yr. old teenage daughter and her friends and want to make sure its "hip" enough. Sounds like a nice place.

We stayed at the Royal Sands last year. I thought that it was a mixed crowd.(Families, couples, singles) I did not notice alot of teenagers but thats probably because they were well behaved. I wouldn't worry Cancun is definately hip enough, she will have a blast.

Agree with LePageS. We owned for many years at another Royal Resort (Royal Mayan) and our teen daughter always went and made many friends there. Your daughter will enjoy, I am sure.

I have 3 kids, 22,20, and 15 this summer, and have been an owner at the Royal Sands since it's opening perhaps six years ago. My kids always found others their ages, have made many friends and kept in communication during the year with them, and have a great time in their "second home". (Owners return the same time every year) The Royals are not party places and the teens are well behaved. There is plenty to do at the resort, and also plenty of other "hip" activities in Cancun itself, a 6 peso, $0.60 US, bus ride away.

Dee3: We are thinking of going to Royal Sands in Feb/08. Kids will be 19 & 20. It's 2 years since your post....wld you still suggest RS as a great week to spend a week in February? Anybody else have comments?
