Royal Hideaway-Best Rates?

I think we have decided to celebrate our 25th anniversary here in mid-May. What site is going to give me the best rates?

Mestizo Feb 26th, 2004 06:29 AM

I'm trying to book in May (10-17th) also, and it's been tough to find any availability! Luxurylink.com had some packages available, so you might chech there.

Royal Hideaway usually operates at capacity and because it is not a huge property, books up quickly. Good chance May is already booked, but try Liberty Travel (I got reservations two months out in high season with them) or directly with the hotel.

I haven't used this site, but it comes highly recommended. They don't book many resorts in Mexico, but they DO book Royal Hideaway.

Try it and please post again if you find any success.

You may want to consider bidding at skyacution.com. They frequently have RH listed.

Thanks everybody for the recs. I do have a question about skyauction - you are not guaranteed dates are you? We're looking at a specific week in May, so I wouldn't want to bid and not be able to use it.

If Skyauction can't secure your travel dates, then you don't have to honor your bid....airfare might be a different story. I just won an auction last night for a resort in Mexico and the disclaimer indicated that if Skyauction could not get the travel dates I wanted, then I don't have to pay.

We have booked RH for late April, and when we looked around to book, we found the best rate at travel-center.com. WE booked through them and it went very smoothly, got a confirmation with a hotel confirmation number quickly and contacted the hotel directly and everything was in order.

And the winner is Travel-center.com. I checked various sites and they had the lowest rates.

The companies mentioned on this string of messages have good prices. I found great prices for the Royal Hideaway from Vacation Store of Miami. Phone # 1-888-774-0044 (www.evacationtours.com). I spoke with George (the owner) and eventually booked with their manager Julia.
My rates for land only, at the end of April for 5 nights: 1,035 per person, all transportation included. Travel-center did not have the dates available that we were looking for, so Vacation Store could be another alternative, they are a wholesaler.
We will be staying at Aventura Spa Palace for 4 nights and that price is: 578 pp Hope this helps, I'm thankful for the other messages I read to help us make our final decision.

I am going to RH in June for 10 nights. I bid through skyauction.com and got the dates I was looking for, plus I saved over $1000 off the cost of what most everybody else was quoting me. We are going June 8-18 and we paid $2074pp including air out of Philadelphia.

I have used skyauction in the past (this is my sixth purchase through them) and only once could they not get me what I was looking for, so there was no charge to my account.

As of today it looks like May 15-17 are booked with RH (per www.differentworld.com)

Good luck and congrats on your 25th anniversary.

Nancy

BH or anyone else,
Have you booked a trip through Vacation Store of Miami, evacationtours.com? If so, did you have any problems with them? I have booked a trip to Secrets Excellence Riviera Cancun through them and their prices are almost too good to be true. I hope I am not getting ripped off!
