romantic vacation for my pregnant wife and!

Hello everyone,
I'd like to take my wife on a romantic vacation to Argentina. We're going to have a baby in December and I'd like to go on a trip with her in September to Argentina.

Any advice on where to stay, what to do (easy hikes, beautiful scenery) will be most appreciated. Also, can we have a fun trip in 5 days, or should we go for 8 days?

Definitely recommend Buenos Aires, and, if you're looking for romantic areas, stay in Puerto Madero or Recoleta. Not sure what your budget is, but there is plenty to do in Buenos Aires for 5 days, and if you could always take a ferry to Colonia for a daytrip.

Thank you for the two areas you recommended below. Our budget is pretty flexible so we can go higher with the expenses if it requires.

What is the weather like in late August/September?

Also, is there a way to split time between Buenos Aires and the Patagonia region?

Not familiar with Argentina's Patagonia, but on Chile's side, you either fly to Santiago and then to Puerto Montt, or I bet there is a direct flight to Puerto Montt from BA.
I visited BA in December, which is early-summertime there, so you'll be going in early-mid Spring, but by December it was pretty hot and humid so I imagine the spring time is rather pleasant.

Another place I recommend is Mendoza, Argentina which is in the wine country.

The Bariloche region is very romantic. Here is a blog entry we wife wrote about it.

There are many round trips flghts daily between BA and Bariloche.

Feel free to contact me for more information.
