Rollerblades in Nueva Vallarta?

Going to Puerto Vallarta in March, love to rollerblade long distances. Will be staying at the Allegro Resort in Neuva Vallarta. Wondering if the terrain is friendly or stupidly dangerous for such activity. If you were there, and you noticed what the roadsides looked like, or if there were paths along beaches, etc, please let me know.

Thanks.

I stayed at the Allegro in Nuevo last December. Whil the road in front of the resort is paved and not all that busy, the pavement is anything but smooth. It is much nicer to walk for miles along the beach.

Yep, the paved roads are bad, and everything else is cobblestoned. The only places that possibly would be ok might be the malecon (the main walkway across from the shops) in PV, or the walking area at the Marina. But I don't think they allow roller-bladers, have never seen any at either location. You could bring yours along and just check it out anyway.

Thanks for your responses so far -- sounds like there's not much opportunity for 'blading in Nueva Vallarata. Any idea about the Marina area? From maps I've seen, there seem to be a number of roads, etc, but I don't know how far that area is from the Allegro. Any ideas?

I love PV (it is my favorite place) but I would never try to rollerblade there anywhere. It is sometimes hard enough to walk because the streets and sidewalks are not smooth at all. Sorry! But you will love it anyways!
