Roatan restautants

We will be heading to Roatan in Feb. Any suggestions for good places to eat that we shouldn't miss? THanks

We went to Roatan in 02 so don't know if these are still around but on West End, we liked the Lighthouse Restaurant and the Argentinian Grill. In West Bay, try Bite on the Beach and the restaurant at the Las Rocas bungalows.

The Lighthouse was our favorite in '06 but it burned down last year; don't know if they're rebuilding. We rented a little house and did most of our own cooking so can't help, sorry. Have a great trip and please post a report when you get back. Happy trails!

Thanks for your replies. I think that the Argentinian Grill is certainly a place that I would like to try.

We liked the coconut shrimp at Half Moon Bay Cabins and also an Indian restaurant that was just around the cornor from Woody's Store (sorry I've forgotten the name)

hopeful -- thank you for letting us know about Lighthouse. That was a great restaurant -- bummer to hear that it is no longer around.

I saw the link to your pics in another posting so thanks for that.

Here are some pics from our trip to Roatan and Copan as well: http://stgabriel.smugmug.com/Travel

ttraveler -- the other restaurant that I remember is Eagle? Bar and Grill but you should be able to find some good restaurants as you walk the West End main drag. Please let us know how your trip went!
