As the previous poster mentioned, Royal Hideaway does always get the best reviews - in fact, I've never seen a bad one.
Aventura Spa Palace does seem to get a lot of positive press as well.
Be sure to check that whereever you look into will be open.
Some of those properties along 307 got slammed by Emily and are/were closed.

Royal Hideaway is absolutely fantastic. I was there w/ my husband last year and we are returning with another couple later this year. The food and service are out of this world.
Also, I stayed earlier this year w/ girlfriends at the Grand Xcaret in the Royal Clu
RC) section. We had a great private restaurant, private pool and jacuzzi that were only accessible by RC guests and room service was included for RC. There was a golf course in the resort complex that was right across the walkway from the RC entrance. I'm not a golfer so I'm not even sure what type of couse it was, but it looked nice.
Also included in your stay at the Xcaret are passes to the Xcaret park located directly next door to the resort.
