Clubs: Tey NUTH in Barra, Baronnetti in Ipanema, Bunker in Copacabana, HELP in Copacabana and W in Ipanema. Don't wear shorts at night. Eat in the Cafes along Ave. Atlantica and the chuascarias such as Marius and Porcao in Leme, Ipanema and Flamengo. Nice beach in front of Ceaser Park hotel in Ipanema, don't leave anything on your towel when you go into the water, at night do minimum walking and try to take taxis and don't carry all your money with you at once and leave your jewelry at home.

Claudia I agree with your assessment on the various clubs but I just tried to give a broad range of clubs for him to try both good and not so good depending on your perspective.

Claudia (and anyone else who has knowldge)

What are good places to shop for fun, stylish and not very expensive clothing?

Also, does anyone know about that bus that goes from the international airport to Buzios? Is it ok?

Lastly, aside from downtown, what's the best beach type area to stay at in Buzios that also has restautants nearby? I know that Casas Brancas is loved by all, but is it worth not being near a beach? Or are the beaches downtown ok for swimming (= not too wavy)?

The beach near centro in Buzios I don't think is good for swimming.
The bus to Buzios is picked up at he bus station not at the airport.
Cheap fun shopping in Botofago is the famous Rio Sul shopping center near to Copacabana. Also Barra Tijuca has many big malls and Sao Conrado has trhe Fashion Mall next to the Intercontinental hotel which is more upscale.
