Rio bachelor party!

I'm planning a bachelor party in Rio and need some suggestions on where to stay, nightlife, etc. There are six of us in our late 20's & early 30's. We are going in early December. Thanks.

rich,

i returned from rio a week ago..amazing trip. everything you expect and more. i traveled with three friends (late 20's)..stayed at the marriott hotel copacabana. the marriott offered everything we needed with above average service. there are plenty of hotels to choose from so research thoroughly. as for the night life try the following clubs/bars etc. Shenanigans (irish pub), peoples, six, nuth and meli melo. best to explore and try everything rio has to offer...

baja di tijuca beach...absolutely amazing..alternative to copacabana/impanema beach.

learn a little portuguese..imperative (most brazilians do not know english)

i could go on with suggestions..the best part about rio is exploring the unknown.

Rich, great place to have a bachelor party but like any bachelor parties if your going to get wild you need to know the hotels that will allow this. Some 5 star hotels are very tight with security and will not let unregistered guests into the room so stick to the 4 star hotels. Take a look at this website and search for single mans guide under Rio: www.blameitonrio4travel.com. You might want to consider an apartment so you can do anything you want as hotels will have restrictions.
