Restaurants in Tulum
My family is going to Tulum for 5 days during the Christmas holidays. What restaurants would you recommend?
Thanks |
Ziggy Beach Club at Cabanas Tulum for lunch or maybe breakfast on the beach road. Also La Zebra.
In town, Don Cafeto's is stil an oldie but goodie, my friend likes Batey's for their mojitos. |
Are you considering in town also? There are dozens of interesting places to eat in the pueblo. Our go to favorite is La Malquerida, a simple open air Mexican/seafood place right off the main drag. Very good food, quite reasonable. Charlie's is fun, with a nice courtyard and live music on weekends.Don Cafeto's on the main drag is the real deal - lots of locals, simple hearty Mexican food.

We also enjoyed Don Cafeto's (live music, people dancing, very decent food, good drinks). We stayed at La Zebra and ate at the restaurant several times. Food is very good, on one occasion service was horrible. We enjoyed a few meals (breakfasts and one dinner) at Casa Banana across the street. Ice cream at Campanella in the pueblo is excellent.

Thank you.

As mentioned above, there are plenty of good restaurants in the Puebla area and on the beach but please keep in mind that some beach restaurants will automatically add the tip ( propina ) to your bill and not mention it. Although the practice is illegal in Mexico, many waiters will not hesitate to add it and forget to mention it when you pay and tip again...
