Reputable Cancun Tour Operators??
Does anyone have recommendations on reputable tour operators that I could book online before my trip in April? I have two kids and want a family friendly, trustworthy company. Planning one trip to either Chichen or Coba, and another to Xcaret. I appreciate the help!

We really enjoyed Gray Line's tours--they have a Chichen Itza/Xcaret combo (multiple days, of course, but they can be non-consecutive).

Contact Edventure tours. They will desing your day around what you want to do. You won't have to deal with big busloads of people. YOu will have your own driver/tour guide and they are very reputable.

Here's a list of a few:
http://www.cancun-discounts.com/cancun-tours.htm http://www.grayline.com/Grayline/des...;cat=Day+Trips http://www.tours-cancun.com/ http://www.cancuncare.com/Cancun_Tours/ http://entertainment-plus.net/ If your staying in Playa, I recommend the tours from www.playa.info. Small groups and personal service. You do not need a tour operator for Xcaret unless you need transporation and it's too expensive to just cab it from your hotel. You can buy tickets directly from their web-site or wait until you get to the door. Brings lots of money as their resturants were quite expensive. Stay for the night show. It's really great. Your hotel will also have a tour desk to set up day trips. They sell to the masses, so the tours will have more people. |
I have been trying to do the same thing and Edventuretours do not reply.
I have had very prompt replies from sarai cervera at [email protected] |
Gray Line does a great job for Chichen Itza - highly recommend them. We have also enjoyed the use of entertainment plus as well, both their transfers service and the use of their 2-for-1 card for dining places.

Another vote for the playa.info tours. Mitch was truly a joy as our tour guide. Everyone said that it was the highlight of the trip.

I should have been more specific....we are staying in Cancun. Many of the tour operators mentioned above seem to be located in Playa....are they still the best to use or is it better and/or cheaper to use tour operators in Cancun? I really appreciate the advice.

Edventure Tours was fantastic (we were in Cancun last month). They will craft your tour to your request. We managed to do both Tulum and Coba, plus cenote snorkeling and aquarium lagoon snorkeling, all in one day.
Another family (on the same day) did Tulum, zip-lining, snorkeling with sea turtles, and snorkeling in the cenote. Personal service, small groups, equipment provided (including wet suits if needed). They have no problem picking up from Cancun. I'm going back in 6 weeks, and I'm booking Edventure Tours again. And if you need transport to Xcaret (or anywhere else) I highly recommend Best Day - they are very reliable and very professional. http://www.bestday.com/Cancun/ |
Sounds great! Thanks for the info.

SUCCEED - If you're still around, can you tell me more about how the timing worked on your tour. Sounds like what we're looking for and I'd like to hear more before we contact Edventures. Thanks in advance!

I am interested in hearing about Edventures and Alltournatives, too. We will be in Cancun over the holidays and would like to hear from anyone that has used these groups, what tours did you take, drive times, cost, positives and negatives of your trip experience.
|
feuerk - Go to www.tripadvisor.com and search for Edventure and Alltournative - there are hundreds of reviews.

Will do. Thanks.
