Recommend Peru Best Tours

We just got back and had a great trip to Cuzco and Machu Picchu. I had given Peru Best Tours a list of what we wanted to see and they made the arrangements. It didn't go without a hitch but they couldn't have been nicer and more than made up for the one problem. We had originally booked Vistadome train to get to MPicchu and at the last minute we got bumped to Backpacker train. Of course we got the difference in price refunded but they also 1) picked us up at Polroy on the way back and saved us about an hour more ride on the train to Cuzco, and 2) gave us a choice of a dinner and show or a nicer restaurant (with local music) in Cuzco. We chose the latter and ate at the Inka Grill - loved it!
They were there for us every step of the way - I would use them again.

In addition to setting up the tours, Peru Best picked us up and dropped us off everyday, whether it be at the airport, trainstation or bus tour. They also met us in Lima airport the first day for a meet and greet where they gave us a local cell phone so we/they could keep in contact in case anything went wrong. We met them at the end of our trip again and again they apoligized again and again. I was originally very unhappy with the train change but as it turned out I am not sure it was worth the extra $51/person anyway.
Don't miss Machu Picchu - there is an amazing energy there - and if you can stay at the Inkaterra Pueblo for an extra day or two you should - it's just the best and they will take you on side tours as well. We are hoping we have a chance to go back to Peru again and next time we plan on going to the Inkaterra in the Amazon region.

Sorry to hear about the train.
I am glad to hear that everything else went well.
I just finished paying for our trip and I am a little nervous about paying for everything up front.
Can you tell me who was your contact person and what hotels did you stay at?
Thanks for the report and the update.

We are taking a tour with bestperutours.com in August with David Ochoa. It sometimes gets mixed up with Peru Best Tours. He has been very helpful in all our needs and the price was very reasonable.

Thanks, yes I did get it mixed up.
I will let you know what happens with our tour.
Thanks

Does anyone have any recent experience with Peru Best Tours (www.perubesttours.com). I´ve seen some good reviews on forums for PBT just wondered if anyone had travelled with them recently? Thanks Sam.
