Hi Jan!

My husband and I are planning our honeymoon to PV first time and we are considering the Blue Bay resort as well. I was wondering if you have already gone on your trip and if so, how was your experience at the Blue Bay resort?

Thanks!

I was in pvr in november, and stayed atthe blue bay getaway. All i can say is that it was the best time of my life. It was really hot there, but we managed to cool off at the pools. there is a swim up bar where you can swim up and ring the bell, and ask for a drink. carefull at this bar though because there's these crazy bar tenders who put a sombrero on you head, and they make you do 4 or 5 tequila shots in a row. All in all it was a great time. Victor the activities guy was so nice and hilarious. he enjoys putting on womens sarongs to entertain the group. Don't be suprised if you see him with balloons under his top. If your going for your honeymoon, it's a good place to go. its adults only so you are free to do whatever, and yes topless is optional. but there are beautiful sunsets, entertainment nightly, and the outdoor snack bar can be very romantic at night with the tables set nice and candles everywhere. There's a lot to do. i recommend going clubbing to christines you pay 180 pesos(ladies) and you drink unlimited all night. it was a spectacular light show and a sound system that it is out of this world. The staff is very nice and approachable. cleaning staff is amazing. we must have left 5 lbs of sand in our tub and on the hotel room floor and the room was left spotless everday, they even arrange your shoes. Very safe and friendly .It's a must do thats why we're going back in march

I agree with the above poster. Also stayed there last year, and it was fun. Food is good, staff is friendly and fun!And yes, the bartenders are crazy! As soon as you ask for tequila, they go nuts! Line up 4-5, and start doing a crazy yell, it was hilarious. Beach is nice, hotel clean. I want' to go back!

blue bay is good in vallarta-but the blue bay locos is terible and the cleanliness is bad cockraches and ,odour from the lagoon terrible , we stayed for 1 wek in dec and had to get out -we moved to the serria hotel in manzanillo -a paridise -great food /clean and service excellent -if you go to blue bay locos , youe wasting your money and the rooms are terrible ,not service not good at all, we have pics to prove same ,sewage is dunped into the lagoon nightly and i would say a musty unhealth place to stay, easy place to get sick -nazal problems were what i heard from people constantly //rh
