Rain Maker hanging bridges
 

We are going to be staying at Costa Verde in MA and are really interested in taking my boys to the hanging bridges. We saw them on the Amazing Race and thought it looked like fun. Can anyone tell me exactly where they are. I have looked on the internet and can not find any directions. How far from Costa Verde. I guess we can take a taxi there but can you just do them on your own or do you have to book a tour? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Actually we just drove up to it and it was no problem to join in a tour. It may depend on how busy they are though.

tully, thanks for that website. Now I just have to find a tour company in that area that offers tours there. I have emailed them and asked. At least now I know where they are and how to contact them. Did you do the bridges and if so how were they?

Hi there, We did not do them. However there is a store across from the beach not too far from the entrance to Manual Antonio that offers excursions and they seemed to have the best prices when we were there. If you have your own car i would just drive right up if i remember correctly it was not that far from Quepos.

I absolutely LOVED the hanging bridges at Rain Maker. It was a really nice hike, we saw lots of wildlife, and the surroundings are absolutely beautiful... lusher than MA park, I think, and there's also water running through the park (Rio Seco).

When I did the tour (a few years ago) it included transportation to and from hotel (we also stayed at Costa Verde) as well as lunch, which was great. They picked us up early in the morning (around 7am, I believe), then we were home around 1 or 2pm.

Go ahead and book it right through Rain Maker. The one very long bridge that they have is one of my favorite memories of CR. It's very narrow, high up, and only two people can walk on it at a time. It's not scary, but just incredible. Have fun!
