Rain all week

I am going to Riviera Maya from June 4-11. It says 80% chance of thunderstorms every day. Should I expect it to be raining all day, every day? Or will these storms be brief? If so, what are some good ideas to do if it is raining besides consuming large amounts of alcohol?

Alcohol is a good choice......

It's likely to be so hot, you can do pretty much everything, including swim.

But a lot might depend on where you are staying, what kind of lodging.

Try myforecast.com, more accurate than most for the area.
Also look at webcams, locogringo.com has a good one for Akumal and another for Tulum.
It will not rain all day every day unless a tropical depression moves into the area.

It rately rains continuously , although sometimes very hard, hard enough that the streets flood and you have no choice but to walk in 6 inches of water at any given street corner. Bring the appropriate clothing and footwear and learn to cope, it can be fun... Beleive it or not. Mexicans are resiliant and learn to work around it
Mostly everything remains open and accessible, enjoy it !

Highly unlikely.

80% *chance* means just that. Not that it will rain 80% of the time.

Don't believe the forecast. I was was there last week and the weather was fantastic. It called for rain everyday. It rained for about 10 minutes.
