QUICK - need help choosing between hotels in Cancun!!!

In Cancun, Mexico: Looking for luxurious hotel with lush grounds, beautiful pool area, great beach, swim up bar, clean rooms. These are my only options, so I'm looking for the BEST of the ones I've listed below. Please don't recommend any other hotels but can you please comment on the ones below?

THANKS SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!!

Westin Regina

Presidente Inter-Continental

Sheraton

Omni

Cam ino Real

Hyatt Regency

Fiesta Americana (I don't know if it's the Coral Beach or not?)
It is not the Fiesta Americana Coral Beach or the Condessa - it's apparently the 3rd tier, although still "4 Star".

Any thoughts on any of these hotels?

Also, we'd like to be in a decent location to get to all the nightlife.

I would not recommend the Westin. We stayed there last October and it was not as great as other Westin's. The grounds are nice, the pool areas are great. No swim up bar, but they do serve you drinks. Beach was not good at all. The risk was high to swim in the ocean every day. The rooms were clean. The Westin is the second hotel on the strip, so it is away from everything else. When we go back we will not be staying at the Westin.

pjr - thanks for your insight! I have heard the same thing about the beach.

Hopefully we can stay at one of the others...anyone else have any opinions about these hotels??

We stayed at the Fiesta Americana Coral Beach. A Bit pricey, but very luxurious, wonderful pool area, and very close to great resturants and nite life. Maid service was most excellent. We loved it.. Good Luck, and where ever you go ENJOY....

We stayed at the Camino Real 2 years ago and it was fabulous. The grounds are huge and it has 2 beaches and a lagoon. The beach on the north side is often calm enough to swim in. The pool has a swim up bar. The onsite resturants are excellant and it is within walking distance of many others. The staff was outstanding. I would highly recommend this. If I were going back to Cancun I would definately stay there again.

Stayed at the Fiesta Americana Cancun which is the lowest of the 3 Fiesta Resorts the Coral Beach being the best, let me say that the Coral Beach made the top 10 list on the Travel Channels best Mexican Resort list, as well as one other Cancun Resort which for the life of me I cannot remember the name of it was a European type resort and it started with an M the rest you named did not make their list.
I absolutely loved the Fiesta Americana Cancun, but if money was not an object definately the Coral Beach, it has an excellent location right near the point of the 7 near everything, and I believe they are all suites. Check out their website.

I agree with Marie the Fiesta American is a grand hotel. Beautiful pool area and you do not have to work about large waves, as it is in more of a laguna area. It also far enough away from the partying spots, but only a 5 minute walk if you want to join the fun.

Skip the Sheraton as rooms and service are just OK. We just stayed at Camino Real in the tower and found the staff, room and facilities excellent.

Ann, in August I stayed at the Presidente, I did my research before I went and found out that this side of Cancun has the best beach. It did, the water was calm and warm, the beach was wide, this hotel being one of the first ones on Cancun is on the best beach. It is not a new hotel and maybe not as fancy as the other big hotels on the other side of Cancun but in my opinion the beach is far superior that those beaches which I don't think you can even swim in. Plus its in a good location to walk to all the night life.

If you are truely looking for the Best as far as room, service, location and the Price does not bother you it is the Fiesta Americana Coral Beach.
My second choice would be the Camino Real, I did not think it was luxurious at all, but have one client who goes there 3 times a year for a week and will not even let me suggest another hotel.
Although the Westin gets 6 stars with Apple Vacations and Funjet, I do no think it deserves that and it is the farthest from town.
Sheraton, Omni and Presidente only get 5 star ratings. Although of the 3 the Omni is by far the nicest.
Have a great trip. All are fine hotels.

Oops. Forgot to mention that the Hyatt Regency has no beach. The other Hyatt does. I think its called Hyatt Grand Caribe.
