question about wow! argentina..

they receive much praise and obviously do a great job. my question is, does anyone know how much more, or less, it may cost using them (or any travel agent), than making reservations by yourself? i am about ready to "sign-up" with wow!,but a little reluctant......

In our case the cost was less as far as I could tell. I am also a travel agent, so this was also taking in to account my discounts. But that is not the best thing. The best was having a friend in Argentina for making suggestions, giving us ideas and just generally being there for us. On two occasions we saw other tourists who arrived with reservations in hand and were told they had no reservation. Two different properties. If this happens or other issues arise, and you have booked on your own - well you are on your own. It is so comforting to have an agent working for you and everything running so smoothly. Most all travel agents are paid on commission and most of the time they receive preferred rates because of the large volume of business they do. They also have a lot of pull to fix problems. Most tour companies and hotels, etc. cannot afford to lose them and value their business. Therefore you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. I always use agents when booking something that I have not booked previously myself. Most agents are specialized these days. Like doctors and lawyers. Few can know everything about everything.

Great reply connette.I agree a hundred per cent. Wow is indeed one of the most helpful, friendly, professional, effcient travel agent one could imagine.
I checked the hotel rates and found their rates much better than what I could find in the internet.
