Queretero Airport

Has anyone used this airport? I see you can get flights thru Houston to this airport. We would fly from Detroit so it's a nice direct way to get to SMA. Our flight would leave to return home at 7am. Would we have to stay overnight in Queretero in order to catch our flight? Is there a place that is recommended? Should we actually tack on a couple of days here at the end of our trip? Also when we arrive, how can we get from the Queretero Airport to San Miguel. We get in around 8pm.

You probably aren't getting many answers because Continental just started their service to Queretaro in March I believe. Check viajessanmiguel.com, as they provide shutlle service to Leon & Mex City airports so I would think they have probably started a service to Queretaro also. When I have gone to Queretaro, it has taken about 45 minutes from San Miguel, so to make a 7 am flight you would have to leave pretty early but it is doable. If you decide to stay in Queretaro, Casa de la Marquesa is great.

Lo siento,
I just returned from 5 days in SMdA. The Continental flights to QRO from IAH are still not user friendly "time wise", but I have not checked in a couple of weeks.
We flew AA non stop from DFW-BJX (Leon/Guanajauto) on Tues and RT today.
E-mail Pedro @ turisticosrodriguez.com for shuttle service.
You may want to spend the night in the colonial part of QRO coming and going, but BJX is more friendly for most folks.
