Anyone have suggested hotels for Queretaro?

La Casa de la Marquesa is beautiful. Pricey, but beautiful. Great location.

I've stayed many times at the Holiday Inn. It is quite surprisingly nice and well kept with a very nice breakfast served daily. Many of my colleagues stay at the Hotel Jurica (sp?) which is in a quieter section of town and quite lovely also.

Depends on what kind of accomodations you want and how big your budget might be. Casa de la Marquesa is nice, colonial, and very central, but very pricey too. There are several good, historic properties in that class. There are also small, inexpensive, more antiseptic-feeling places a mere mile from the historic center, but with prices under $50. What do you want?

Here's a few suggestions:

I would only ask why Queretaro?
San Miguel de Allende is so close and so much more "interesting".

Not for nothing Queretaro is a UNESCO heritage site, this barroque city is full of history, there is a thriving art scene and there are loads of places to visit, not to mention it's bars and cafes, for all tastes.
The people are lovely and you will really enjoy a full taste of mexican culture, unlike San Miguel, that although beatiful, it's full of tourists.
Enjoy!

Yes, but one has to get through the ever expanding walls of now nearly 1.3M people, surrounding heavy industry and awful traffic. The new QRO airport will make things even worse.
