PV weather in July???

I am considering going to PV for honeymoon July 21-28. Everything I have read about the area has been great, but the 'rainy season' concerns me.

If it is an hour of rain late in the day or at night, no big deal. If it rains all day everyday, then big deal.

Does rain typically clear out after a short time?

Is it likely that we will still be able to enjoy the pool for the majority of the time(some walking on the beach, but prefer the pool for sunning)?

Should the rain be enough to scare me off, or can I still expect a lot of sun (just with some late day showers mixed in)?

Thanks in advance.

Plenty of sun, you will pray for the rain, it's usualy for a couple of hours only.
July may be a bit early for the rain to start, but this year who knows?

Last July same timeframe, the rain came late in the day (but not every day), sometimes lasted a couple of hours, other times went all night, with fantastic lightening shows over the bay. If you come from a mild or cooler climate, the main thing you want to be prepared for is the heat and humidity. The evening rains help cool things off a little, but it can be tiring if you're not use to it. As JR has noted on other posts, this being an El Niño year, the weather patterns have been a little unusual, so as he says "who knows".

Vanghny1, I am thinking about going here next year for out honeymoon in June, let me know what how your honeymoon was and how much it really did rain.

Also, does anyone know if the water is clear enough to snorkle or dive?
