Purchasing Vacation Home

I'm researching to purchase a vacation home or condo in Costa Rica. CAn anyone give some advice in terms of the best realtor to use, web sites, etc. We are from Canada.

Thank you.

A good attorney might be a good idea before hiring a realtor.

Beyond that, CR is such a large country that a person would need to know your geographical area of interest before recommending a realtor. Realtors typically specialize in areas comprising several cities, or one count, or one state, for example.
You've heard it before, you're hearing it now : Location, Location, Location.

Also check out AM Costa Rica, an online news magazine aimed at foreign residents of CR or those thinking about it. They seem to have lots of info about property ownership in CR

I agree, a good lawyer in Costa Rica is a must, and you really need to narrow your search to an area you are interested in, then find a realtor for that area.
We made over ten trips to Costa Rica before deciding where to build our hotel. It's a good idea to rent something in an area you are interested in before deciding to move there.
A great site to post your question, with many members living in Costa Rica is:
