Puerto Viejo: disappointment...can't stay at Banana Azul/Suggestions?

Had reserved apt. at Banana Azul for the 3 of us in July; realized with allergies to cats this is a problem. Don't think they have any other available rooms. Alternatives include Azania, Caribe Town, Cariblue, Aguas Claras. Was looking forward to being close to town and beach to not bother with a car. Also, breakfast was enticing.Any suggestions???

Azania is very nice with pretty grounds and pool. I've come across resident cats and/or dogs at a lot of the places I've stayed in CR...how bad are the allergies? I only ask because you mentioned the Banana Azul apartment and I'm sure we're not the only ones who've let the kitties sleep in the apartment with us...it's open air so they have better access to the apartment than to the rooms, actually.

Hip, answered you in other thread, too! Dogs etc are not a problem but if the cats were on the bed/furniture a lot it could be and neither Banana Azul folks nor I thought we should chance it. I don't think they had much left and said cats go everywhere; very disappointed!

Too bad but you'll still have a wonderful trip I'm sure! One of those things a person with allergies has to think about though... I had never considered that.
