Puerto Vallarta restaurant choices

Leaving for Puerto Vallarta on Tuesday (finally!). This is what I've come up with for restaurant options. Feedback on whether I am missing some restaurants that I should be including or including some that should be removed would be appreciated. Thanks.

Trio
Cafe Des Artistes
El Arrayan
La Palapa
Barcelona Tapas
Dacquiri Dicks
Archie's Wok
Frankfurt Cafe
Citrus
Bogart's

Bogarts is questionable.I understand that they have a 2 for 1 earlier in the evening. For that price i'd say go for it. Otherwise, when i went there personally i was not all that impressed on the quality of the food.
I guess for me i just felt like i rather have been at a restaurant in Mexico that was open and airy as opposed to dark and closed in.
Vista Grill is another suggestion. It's pricy but for the views and quality of the food it's always on the top of my list.

Thank you. I added Bogart's and Citrus to my list because I know that there will be one or two evenings in which I will want to stay close to my hotel (staying at the Fiesta Americana) and those two seem to be in the hotel zone. I did notice the early bird special at Bogart's and would likely take advantage of that if I do go there. Thanks again!

I think it's a pretty good list!

The ones I'm lukewarm about are cafe des artistes and dacquiri dicks, they've both been around for ever, i've never eaten at them, but i think you can do better for the price.

Definitely keep trio, la palapa, and barcelona tapas.

Archie's Wok i've had mixed experience, i'm not sure i'd come all the way across town for it.

One you might want to add that is sort of over near your hotel is Mariscos Tino's in Pitillal, great mexican open air atmosphere and seafood, sometimes live music. it's the real thing.

For something out of the way, a bit kooky, with interesting food, i might add The Red Cabbage Cafe in Remance.

Thanks Suze. I knew you would come through.

Tom, de nada... your list is a teeny bit above my price range so my comments are partially 1st hand, with some hearsay around town and what I read on the various PV travel forums throw in for good measure. have a great trip!

Cafe Des Artistes is great, pricey but fantastic food. We've been to PV 5 times and eat there everytime. The Red Cabbage is also a great choice.

We recently had a great dinner at the Red Cabbage (thanks suze!). It is a bit quirky, but the food is delicious.

Hi Tom I agree the restaurant is very good Cafe de Artistes is a bit pricey, I have been there before but never went back I didn't think it was worth the price. However Most of the other restaurants might be considered pricey too, but I would consider them to be comparable to eating at a nice restaurant in the states. Have fun and Enjoy!!!!!

Thanks everyone. We leave tomorrow morning for three days in Las Vegas, then on to PV on Tuesday.
