We have been to Puerto Vallarta before, but are always looking for a new adventure or place to visit. Any suggestions on good reasonably priced restaurants. We already found Los Arbolitos and it's great. We have heard of a good restaurant for ribs somewhere south of the main bridge, but no one can give me a name. Also looking for places to go outside of the city. Have been into the hills on a 4 wheel drive adventure and loved that. Also been whale watching on a sailboat out of Nuevo Vallarta and that was also great. Have driven up to the waterfall where the Predator was filmed. How about some other ideas.

try restaurant La Lomita in Bucerias for dinner. An outdoor patio. Suggest reservations (they have a phone). 4 dinner choices, one price soup to dessert. Also, the beaches in Bucerias are great,as is Playa Desdillideras on the way to Punta Mita - or at least was until the Japanese bought the point, moved the village out and closed it off (at least 5 miles). Canadians now own it and are developing. There are also a few good restaurants up on the hill overlooking the city - a bit pricey but good. Many good ones south of the bridges also.
Brian, it probably is El Toritos that you're thinking of for ribs. They're known for them and that's usually what my husband gets when we go there. It's on the right side down in old town south of the bridge (same street). It's also a sports bar (another reason my husband enjoys it) but very Mexican. Eat upstairs where it'll be breezier.

Hi Brian ... Read from posts that Los Arborlitos was already mentioned...great place. This restaruant, Cafe de Olla, is located at Playa Los Arcos and also serves great food. The spicy tortilla soup is best washed down with a generous margarita. Another great place is Chino's Paradise, just down the road from La Jolla de Mismaloya hotel. Not only is their food delicious, the setting is beautiful, but the real adventure begins on the road to Chino's. It's not exactly a black-topped 2-lane highway to the restaurant, but I guarantee it will be an experience not soon forgotten. Chino's is classified as a 'jungle' restaurant, and it's easy to see why.

Hope you enjoy as much as we did. Lots of iguanas at the restaurant too !!!

Help. Our flight to P.V. one Dec. 26, 98 will be delayed by 12 hours. We will now be arriving at 1:30 a.m. We are heading North to Guayabitos. Is there a reasonably priced hotel right by the airport. Thanks for any suggestions.
