Puerto Vallarta Hotels
Hi-we are planning a trip for 10 days in PV in January-We are looking at the following hotels-Presidente-Inter-Continental,Melia Vallarta,Crown Paradise-We like the way Fiesta Americana looks but they do have all inclus? HELP! Im reallly stressing out about which to pick!
|
Stay in the Nuevo area instead, the beaches are the BEST in the area. It is only a taxi ride to town, but you wont need to go far with an all-inclusive. Highly recommend the Allegro for familys and the Sierra for couples. There are vendors right on the beach for great shopping deals and it is alot more private than town. The morning walks are great. The marina is nearby for fishing charters and parasailing is available right on the beach. Good luck!

I agree and disagree with the previous poster. Yes, the hotels are the best in the area in Nuevo, if you like mega-american style resorts. The beaches in Nuevo are not the best in the Bahia de Banderas as the beaches to the south of town re: Mismaloya, Quixmoto, Las Animas, and Yelapa all have beaches superior to anything in Nuevo. Also, the town of PV is not something that you want to stay away from! If you stay in Nuevo at an AI hotel you are going to miss one of the funnest and best resort towns in all of Mexico. The decision is yours. I guess it depends on what you expect in a vacation. Just trying to give the other side of the coin. Have fun.

Hola chris!
How nice that you are planning to visit our charming town! I can understand your predicament. Fiesta Americana does have all inclusive available, if it helps you in your desicion. If you have more questions, post or write to me. I live in PV and I will be happy to help. Elena

Elena, could you advise a nice but not too expensive hotel for a family of 5 (2 adults,19,16 and 7)? We're not big drinkers so an AI probably isn't necessary but a good location is. Thank you.

Hola Chris & Familia!
I will be happy to recommend hotels for you, although it is nice that you are getting other points of view in this forum.
I do recommend All Inclusive for families. It is a good option for meals and some entertainment, eventhough you do not have great interest in the drinking. Teenagers can be great consummers of soft drinks, snacks, etc.
Please consider it and if you are still soubting, I will write to you and recommend other facilities, perhaps with a little kitchenette...Gracias,Elena.

My family (4 adults/1 infant) are coming to PV at the end of November. Any thoughts on hiring a driver for the whole day? We want to drive out to Tepic, Nayarit to visit family. Renting a car isn't out of the question either.

Stayed at Melia Vallarta last November and am going back in March. The beach is not very good there, but the hotel staff, food and pool make up for it. Mariba is across the street lots to see and do there. Downtown is 10 minute cab ride. Hope this helps!

If you want to be treated like a queen go to the Camino Real and book in the Club rooms. Beautiful, huge rooms with balcony jacuzzi if you like. Breakfast and evening cocktails with lovely assortment of appetizers are included. These are served on a private terrace for club members only- with a gorgeous view of the ocean. I travel alot and this is one of the best!!!
