Puerto Vallarta Beaches
 

We went to Puerto Vallarta last Dec. - stayed at the Westin Regina in the Marina area. It was the most beautiful resort we ever saw - fell in love with it and with Puerto Vallarta. The only disappointment was the beach. It had a bad drop-
down and was very rocky - also the water wasn't clear. Are there any really nice beaches in PV?

There are some very nice beaches with no rocks, soft sand and gently sloping. The Westin is by the marina and has the worst beach in Puero Vallarta.

There is an excellent beach near PV. Just north of the village of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle. You can drive or take the Punta Mita bus. Stop when you see the big stone archway on the left. There is a parking lot and a little cantina. Miles of clan white sand. Clear water. Much different from the beaches in town. Be sure to stop along the way at La Cruz and explore the village.

my husband and I went to Neuvo Vallarta in April. It is just north of Peurto Vallarta by 10miles or so(about a 10min drive) The beaches there are untouched, sandy-really sandy and the water is beautiful. they say if you don't mind the drive, stay at an all inclusive(which are perfect) and enjoy the swimming etc. The only thing is you do have to drive to peurto Vallarta if you want to go shopping etc in town. we stayed at the hotel Sierra(very nice and a good price) but we also saw Paradise Village(paradise). try them-they're beautiful.

We just returned from a week at Neuvo Vallarta at the all inclusive Club Oasis Marival and found the beach to be very good.
Lots of sand, not crowded, a gentle slope to the water, and lovely warm water. There is a certain amount of surf close to the shore line and some days can be fairly strong, however great for body surfing or boogy boarding. You can go out a little further into the water and miss most of this wave action and find that the average adult can still touch the bottom. And when you are at an all inclusive why bother going to town or other beaches!
