there is a place in town called "mundo de azulejos" (world of tiles). they have all sorts of beautiful ceramics and tiles. they can custom-make items for you. we went during summer time, but i hear whale-watching in the winter is pretty neat. you'll have a wonderful time. p.v. still seemed to retain its own beauty, apart from other commercialized parts in mexico.

There is a little island in the Rio Cuale river right near where it dumps into the bay. there is a fantastic museum there, small yet great. there are also quite a few vendors on the island showing there wares. This is a nice place to go when the sun is high in the sky and themps are hot.

yopu can get to it from either one of the main one way streets running over the Rio Cuale by teh Romantica Zone.
