Pre-Flight Time at EZE
We are leaving the international airport (EZE) in Buenos Aires on a Tuesday night at 10:30 pm. What time do we need to be at EZE for this flight and what is the best way to get to this airport from downtown>
Thanks for your help. |
Most airlines request 2 hours for international flights. Depending on if you have an electronic ticket, luggage to check or other complication, I would plan closer to3 hours and error on the side of more rather than less time for check in. You'll have lines at check in, lines at tax refund if you have items with tax refunds, and lines at the airport tax counter all before you go to the security check line. Radio taxis to the airport from downtown I think was about $15-20 usd. Avrooster may have other suggestions if you have more people or luggage than a taxis can accommodate.

Ask your hotel to phone for a radio taxi, or phone yourself. Ask the flat fare to the airport. As noted, it should be between 15-20 dollars. Taxi Premium is one good service to use, but there are others. Tel 5238-0000
Three hours should be ample time. Sometimes lines are long, sometimes not. Good luck. |
Hi Therennaissanceman, in Ezeiza a good kept secret is that there is an American Express VIP LOunge open to anyone with either a Gold or Platinum AE card. It is excellent.
|
The other secret here is getting the tax back. There can be a line downstairs for that, and then a line upstairs where you actually collect. Otherwise, the lines are not too bad.

Can you please give more details on this American Express VIP Lounge? Where in the airport is it? I have been unable to find any mention of it on their web site? Thanks in advance! |
I used the Amex lounge in a recent trip. Very good. Keep it a secret. LOL!!!
