Please Help - Tulemar Villas Website Confusion!

I am trying to find the villas on the Tulemar website and they are not there anymore! They are the newer part of the property, right? Have they split off from Tulamar?

We returned from Tulemar on 7/19 and the villas were still a part of the property. They are building several new ones for sale and rent. The only comment made to us while we were there was how booked the villas were for this winter. I don't know if that was the bungalows, too. We stayed in a bungalow and had a great time.

I received an email from Tulemar saying that the management has decided not to rent the villas at this time. That is all the information they provided. It seems a shame because the consitantly good reviews I have seen have been regarding the Villas not the bungalows.

I haven't seen the negatives on the bungalows. Like I mentioned, we just stayed there two weeks ago and had a wonderful time. The bungalow was very comfortable for our family of four (two adults and two teenagers). The breakfast was consistently outstanding. They have a great beach and all we encountered were quite friendly. Depending on your number of people, I would check it out.

Jaisy, We have a villa at Tulemar rented for 6 nights in February. We rented through Marcia Kirby at Journeyer Travel 907-209-0546. She was very helpful.

We stayed in the Villas in April '05- had a lot of frustration with the reservation process, primarily because they were using a "third party" in the US to book and there was no way to communicate with people at the property directly.

We complained bitterly about the process and lack of responsiveness of the "third party" with the front desk people on arrival. It was my understanding (from them) that the villas owners had chosen to use the "third party" agent and not the bungalow owners. I was left with the impression that there wer 2 different investor groups involved: one for bungalows and one for the villas.

I have a feeling that there is a way to book for the Villas, but you'll have to research it yourself. There seemed to be a lot of animosity betweeen the two.

P.S. We stayed in the Bungalows in 2-2002 and loved them just as well- in fact we had a steep hike to our Villa that the bungalows don't...

The villas seem to be owned by individuals and not Tulemar and those owners are choosing who to rent them through. I was just there a week and a half ago and I thought the bungalows were just fine. More windows and more integrated into the property so you're more likely to see wildlife. I'd just rent a bungalow if I were you, or two if your party is large.
